Life Flight Honors Survivors, Caregivers on National Trauma Survivors Day
Members of the Memorial Hermann Life Flight® team showed their support for trauma survivors, their families and caregivers during National Trauma Survivors Day on May 18.
The Memorial Hermann Life Flight® team joined others from around the country to commemorate National Trauma Survivors Day on May 18. This day is an opportunity to show support for individuals who have survived a traumatic injury, as well as their caregivers, opening the road to their recovery from trauma.
In the U.S., trauma is the leading cause of death among people ages one to 46, according to the National Trauma Institute, and the fifth leading cause of death overall.
As part of the special day, supporters were invited to share signs of inspiration and words of advice through social media with the hashtags #TraumaSurvivorsDay and #NTSD. We’re proud to support trauma survivors and their families, who inspire us with strength, courage and perseverance, and provide hope and support to others.
