EMS Week Recognizes First Responders
No two days are ever the same for first responders, who respond to all types of emergency calls at the drop of a dime — from routine requests for help to life-threatening situations that require quick thinking and swift action. The 24/7 service these brave professionals provide to the community is invaluable.
To recognize these courageous and compassionate individuals, communities and organizations all over came together during National EMS Week, May 15–21, to give thanks and express gratitude. National EMS Week was established by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) to create awareness for safety, educate the public and honor the dedication of EMS workers, in addition to bringing awareness to careers in the profession.
Memorial Hermann Health System, including Memorial Hermann Life Flight®, hosted a variety of celebrations in honor of this special week. Much of the success we achieve across the organization wouldn’t be possible without you. We’re grateful for the day-to-day work you do and we recognize the situations you encounter are highly stressful. Even so, your commitment to those you serve never wavers and we’re fortunate to have dedicated partners like you — thank you!
